What is Love? A Perspective From a Rational Temperament (INTJ).
It’s not just so much about feelings as it is about fact.

We tend to consider love as a warm fuzzy feeling. That’s how mainstream media portrays it, isn’t it so? People fall in love in movies, they get married, and they live happily ever after.
And a lot of people have bought into that.
But let’s take a step back. Really?
If love were predicated on feelings, and feelings are as fickle and flippant as they come and go…
For example, I could feel happy now and then feel angry in an hour’s time. If love were predicated on feelings, can I feel like I love you today and feel like I don’t love you tomorrow? Yes. Can I feel like I won’t love you for the next 5 years, and feel like being with you will be an upward slog?
Feelings are inconsistent, and can never be the true foundation of any relationship based on love. They are the garnishes on the side of a dish, but are not supposed to represent the entire dish.
Consistency is key to an INTJ. In the initial stages of love, potential partners can blow hot or cold very easily, which can be very confusing to an INTJ. To me, it’s more like “You either want me or you don’t, so why are you playing all these games with me? I don’t really want to think…
